There is over 100 years of history of Harley-Davidson. In the beginning of the 1900’s William S. Harley and Arthur Davidson produce the first Harley Davidson which expand to their many models today. Two boyhood friends named William S. Harley and Arthur Davidson started their business from a 10 by 15 shed. Two friends who had an vision to put a motor on a bicycle to make travel easier and quicker. See more from an article from entrepreneur.com
What sticks out for me is how many American businesses start out. Like the story about Harley-Davidson, it started in a 10 by 15 shed. Just think how many companies start out in garages, basements, sheds and even the kitchen table. I knew a business who drew an idea on a napkin at a bar. Americans just do it. We do what have to no matter where it is. We work with what we have. We start with an idea and build from there.
To me when a company fly’s that american flag they don’t forget of the men and women who gave their life to have that freedom to start an idea and build it. So we can start our own idea in a garage, basement and a shed.
